How Much Does Dye Cost?
Please note that dye is a luxury and not a necessity, and is charged as such. Our dye process involves two (2) baths, one prior to dye being applied and one after the dye has set (dye processing takes about 30-40 minutes dependent on the color/coat). This process does take the individual attention of our groomer the entire process from the dye being applied until their second bath. As your pet is not likely to stay still during this process, it takes away from any of jobs our groomers can work on during that process.
Our current rate is $60/hr with a base charge of $30.00. This price is non-negotiable and subject to change. Please note that our average time does range between 45 minutes to 1.5hrs pet dye job.
How Long Does Dye Last?
The dye we use is considered permanent or semi-permanent, and will last for months depending on your pets coat and texture. This process isn’t for the temporary splash of color or someone not committed to 1 specific color.
Can I Change Colors Frequently?
Unfortunately, the coloring process we use is not able to change between color classes quickly or easily. We can go from light to dark but the color shades will change based on the base color we are covering up.
Can Your Dog Be Dyed?
The coat and texture of your pet will determine if any color is possible. This process works best on pets with a soft and light colored coat. Dogs like a Bichon, Poodle, Maltese, or Shih Tzu are prime candidates for dye and color. Please note that dark coat coloring will require lightening before dye, which may require multiple visits.
