BRAD & RACHEL MCCURRY OWNERS OF PAWSITIVELY PURRFECT

Rachel grew up with a passion for animals and knew from a young age her future was to work with animals. But her career wasn’t noticed until after 3 years of working in the pet industry doing Dog Training & Bathing. She was then given an opportunity to learn to groom, through her apprenticeship she quickly found that her path in the pet industry was to be a Groomer.

Brad also grew up with the same passion for animals but was never allowed to have a pet. It wasn’t until he met Rachel, that he got his first pet Ace. Ace was a gorgeous Pitbull that was the sweetest dog in the world and consumed every inch of his heart. His passion for animals began to flourish as his life with Rachel began to grow and there family of pets grew.

Once Rachel work as a full-time groomer, she began to notice the lack of care and compassion some groomers had for owners and their pets. So, she took all the lessons she could from the industry and learned from the older generation of groomers that start this career out of their passion for animals then stepped away is late 2012 to figure out her next step. That step became clear during a conversation in her living room over doing it our way. A few short months later the next chapter in Rachel’s career had began with the launching of Pawsitively Purrfect Mobile Grooming in January 2013.

As Pawsitively Purrfect Mobile Grooming began to grow and become more successful, Brad & Rachel found out they were expecting their first child. In this moment they felt to be expecting their first child but then after the initial excitement, they began to worry about the future of their business. As Brad was working a Full-time job and unable to take over for Rachel, they were unsure how they could get through without losing to much business. Then their prays were answered and the opportunity they dreamt for was offered. A local pet grooming business in Lenox Village was looking to sell, so after 2 months of weighing the options and looking for their answers. They took that leap of faith.

As much of a challenge as raising a first child can be, they went in faith that this offer was meant to be and everything would be ok. With struggles, challenges, ups, and downs the light at the end of the tunnel began to emerge. As Brad & Rachel, began to streamline Pawsitively Purrfect Mobile Grooming into Pawsitively Purrfect, they took more leaps in selling retail, offering boarding services, and striving to be the local one stop shop to serve their community and its furry friends.

Pawsitively Purrfect is now a store only and has retired its Mobile Grooming services as of October 2018, this was a hard choice for Brad & Rachel but was necessary for their future and continuing to provide the best services and products for their community. Pawsitively Purrfect now offers Grooming as well as Boarding services, along with selling today’s best pet foods, chews, treats, and toys on the market at the lowest prices in town.

Brad & Rachel live locally in Nashville with their daughter, two Sphynx (Ru & Sassy), and their Shih Tzu (Tini).
